The massage varied in quality throughout.at times it really hurt as she did not use out enough oil so my skin felt dragged and sore. This made me feel uncomfortable as I felt quite exposed when the masseuse returned. When I got changed, there was no robe to put on, only plastic knickers. There was no pre-massage consultation or discussion but I managed to explain that my neck was very tense. The lady on the front desk was friendly when I booked but when I went back later for the massage, she gave me a cup of tea and then the masseuse appeared and I was told to follow her and leave the tea so I had no time to have a drink before a ninety minute massage. I wish I had believed the negative reviews before I went. I would not recommend this place for massage or anything remotely relaxing. i always get chinese accu-pressure, and my husband always get aroma therapy. you can hop over to boxing cat brewery next door after your msg! (mena and eva are the two we had. the street is beautiful and quiet and very residential. also it's location is much better than dragonfly. we are thrilled to have "discovered" zen.

(we didn't go to the other location as the one on fuxing rd is really the main operation) in a nutshell, i would not need to go back to dragon fly ever again! 🤣 for less than half of the price, we got equally good and better sessions (my husband had a terrible massage at dragonfly this time) also, their therapists do not stand around, stare at you till you give them cash tip.
for the first time i rented an apartment in SH (lovely place so much more comfy than even JW, our go to place for years) and it just happened to be next door to Zen on Fuxing rd. until this trip we just took during the last two weeks. I lived in SH in 2011 as an expat for my company and dragon fly was very close to my corp apartment at the time and i have been going back every year ever since as i was not aware of any spa set up per western standard in SH.
